The greatest irony in my life is to be named Thor and have such a gentle heart toward newborns. Growing up, my family helped foster infants while an adoption plan was being put in order. Although my parents did most of the primary care, my arms grew accustom to holding a little ones. Now, married with three small children of my own, I see the remarkable value in the way photographs can shape the way those earliest moments are viewed.
It is an amazing honor to photograph a newborn. It is an amazingly intimate level access into a family’s life. I have a huge amount of gratitude anytime I am invited to participate in that moment.
